This heroic crown of sonnets traces the Black woman’s journey from her Biblical origins to modern struggles. It begins with her strength in biblical times and moves through the African diaspora, slavery, and post-slavery challenges, including identity, hair, raising children, and micro-aggressions. The sequence reflects perseverance and empowerment, celebrating the Black woman’s strength, beauty, and fight for justice, dignity, and love.
