Release Date and more…

In less than 30 minutes, my book, Call Her Woman and Bend the Knee will officially be released!  My nerves are on edge and I had a hard time going to sleep (thus this post).  I am anxious to find out how the book did in pre-sales. I did get a glimmer of hope, my best friend texted me today and said that her order was now delayed and not getting to her until 6/24.  To me, that could be a good sign that the book is in high demand as many others have already received their copies.   So fingers crossed.

My book launch celebration is on Sunday, June 29th from 12:30-2:30pm. I’m excited that my entertainment lineup is filling up quite nicely.  Make sure you reserve your seat!

In the meantime, I have a poetry event that I am reading for on Friday, June 20th, Black Motherhood, a Juneteenth event at Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn.  I have a lot of book related requests in the works and hope to have a summer filled with event after event!!  I will definitely keep you posted.
